How can I import books I’ve already purchased or upload my own content onto the tolino eReader? (Side loading) All ebooks or files in ePub or PDF format for example, can be saved to your tolino eReader to read. An overview of all compatible formats can be found in chapter 2.3. There are two ways to download eBooks to your tolino eReader: Transfer eBooks using the tolino Cloud You can easily transfer eBooks in ePUB and PDF format using the tolino webreader. Log in and simply upload your purchased eBooks to the tolino Cloud using the tolino webreader. Next, log in to your tolino eReader as usual and start synchronization with the tolino Cloud using your tolino eReader. Once your tolino eReader has been synchronized (assuming you have an internet connection via WLAN), the eBooks stored in your tolino Cloud will be visible. To download them to your tolino, simply tap on the cover of the eBook you wish to download. Your eBook will then be saved on your tolino eReader and you can get reading! Transfer eBooks using a cable (sideloading) You can transfer eBooks you have already purchased in PDF, ePub, TXT, MOBI, CBZ, and CBR formats to your tolino using a cable connection. Connect your tolino eReader to your computer using the included USB-C cable. Once it has been recognized by the computer, you will be able to access your tolino eReader from your computer. You can now transfer files between your computer and your tolino eReader. Always store eBooks in the “Books” folder on the tolino eReader’s hard drive. We recommend adding purchased eBooks automatically via the tolino Cloud, rather than via USB-C. This is because if you download eBooks from the tolino Cloud, Adobe DRM will not be activated and you won’t need to enter an Adobe account to read these eBooks. Important note:While transferring data, do not disconnect your device. Always unselect the tolino eReader disk icon from your computer before disconnecting the cable from your tolino eReader and your computer.
