How do I connect my tolino eReader to the web? Connect your tolino eReader to the internet free of charge via a wireless network (WLAN) or use one of the numerous hotspots provided by Deutsche Telekom AG. Connect to WiFi: From the top menu bar, tap the icon and turn on your WiFi connection. Once you have turned your WiFi on, your tolino eReader will recognize any available wireless networks in your area. Next, tap on your preferred network to select it. If the chosen network is encrypted with a password, a dialog box will appear. Enter the correct password using this box. Once you have confirmed your password by tapping “Connect”, your tolino eReader will connect to the web via WiFi. When you are successfully connected to the new WiFi network, it will be added to your list of recognized networks. If your WLAN network is not displayed in the list of wireless networks, please open the WLAN menu. You can find this under “More”, then “Settings”. Search for a network using the Search option, add a network manually, or manage your saved networks. Connect via HotSpot: If you don’t have access to a WiFi network, use the tolino eReader to connect to one of the numerous Deutsche Telekom AG hotspots in Germany free of charge. These are internet access points that are available in multiple public locations, such as airports, certain ICE trains, and marked telephone booths. An overview of the available Telekom HotSpots can be found here (link missing). Your device will connect automatically as soon as it is near to a hotspot and your WLAN is switched on. Please note: To use Deutsche Telekom’s hotspots free of charge, you must be registered and logged in to your tolino book store. If you are not registered and logged in to your tolino book store and want to surf the internet using your tolino eReader, costs for WLAN usage may increase when you enter your name, address, credit or banking details, for example.
